What You Should Realise About Virtual Love

Nowadays there are many people who like others by only seeing them in the cyberspace. They had never met before and only rely on social media to get connected. However, some even bring their relationship as lovers and feel they have merged and love each other. This phenomenon can be considered to be virtual love.
The word virtual is defined as ‘created by computer technology and appearing to exist but not existing in the physical world’. Virtual love is virtual by definition, and therefore cannot be real. However, the term is probably a misnomer. Virtual love does not refer to ‘unreal love’ but rather love that develops in a virtual world. The love does occur in a world that is not physically real, but that does not mean the ‘love’ does not exist.
Although it is virtual, many people say that they feel much happier experiencing virtual love than non-virtual. The reason that can be considered to underlie this phenomenon is because the imaginary world is always more beautiful than the real world. When someone feels like they are into someone else in the virtual world, they are definitely in fantasy about that person. You may not be in love with the person, but in your best imagination about them.
Just like in online dating, one can be ‘very attached’ only by looking their partner’s photos, listening to their voices and knowing basic background about them, like their jobs, family, hobbies, educations, etc. Or when someone idolizes artist they only see on screen, they can be so infatuated and even create illusions about the artist.
Many people deny the possibility of bad things because they say that they have real feelings. In fact, feelings cannot be fully used as the basis for making everything true and real. Just like when we watch a movie that makes us cry or get angry, we may feel what the characters in the movie feel, but still, it is just a movie and we are not in a real story.
Loving someone virtually by creating the illusion of perfection can also make us forget the bad things that person might have. This should have been realized because what we see in the virtual world can be very different in the real world. Cause basically a person tends to only show the bright side, and in the virtual world everything can be set easily.
