It is New Year! Lots of people celebrate it with great joy. Together with the wishes made, everyone is excited about the New Year. Resolution lists are also ready for execution.
One possible resolution is to be a new person. Be a new person is not that you become other person, but it is to be one step better than you are before.
The reason behind this resolution could be due to someone’s dissatisfaction with themselves in the past. A year has passed, many things have been missed, many opportunities have been wasted, dreams have not yet come true, etc.
Those are the things that encourage people to become their new person, who changes for the better so that the mistakes of last year will not happen again.
There are several things you can do as steps to become a new person:
1. Change your unhealthy mind and bad perception
We are what we think and how we see things. To become a new and better person, then we also have to fix the content of our minds and the way we view things around us. Positive thoughts will also give positive energy for us.
2. Let go all the things in the past that still bother you
Everyone has past and not everything was beautiful. There must be unpleasant things that must have been experienced. You probably will not be able to forget it. What you have to do is accept your past and make it a valuable lesson for you to live your future.
3. Give yourself time
Each day, you need to take a break time for only yourself. Here you can get to know yourself without any distractions. You can be grateful for what you have, you will know your feeling, and what do you want to achieve, or even your life goals.
4. Try to do something new
Being a new person of course you also need to try something new. You may have something that you have never done before but you really want to do it. Then, this is the right time for you.
5. Try to exercise regularly
Your soul lives in your body. Not only a healthy mind, having a healthy body is equally important. You also need to include a healthy lifestyle in the resolution. Take time to exercise. No need to do it for long. You can do it 20–30 minutes per day. Make sure you do it consistently.
6. Eat healthier
In addition to exercising, to get a healthy body you also need to pay attention to the food and drinks you consume every day. Try to get to know more about clean food. Gradually, change your diet with foods that have a good impact on your body.
It is not easy to be a new person. There may be many things you have to change in your life and you have to adapt to all of them. Do it slowly and believe that everything needs process.
